Default Items won't go into shopping cart, Please Pleas Help

This is the message that we are (www.targetsportsusa.com) receiving on a regular basis from return customers only:

I have attempted to place certain items into my shopping cart after I have logged on and each time I try to add an item, my shopping cart shows that the cart is empty. Any solution to this problem???

Please help me solve this issue, I will pay for the service as well.

    Thank you in advance

    Diana Delmic

I am also having this issue intermittently. I can have 2 users on at the same time and 1 user sees this same problem, the other user sees no problems. I am using 9.0.1.3 with both Service Packs installed. Anyone else seeing strange behavior such as this? Any help is appreciated.

I am having the exact same issue. A few months back we converted our site to https, but other than that nothing has changed. This could cause a loss of business. Please help.

    Thanks

Try running your monthly maintenence to clear out any unwanted data and then reset your cache. Your site (first post) workis fine for me on IE9 FF5 and Chrome.

    Default having the same issue

I was also having a hard time re-creating the issue at work. I did find some info regarding protected mode in IE9 and Vista Only which explains why it happens at home and not at work on my Windows 7 IE9 development box. It would be nice to know if there is a workaround besides telling the customer to uncheck the protected mode checkbox in IE Options.

Default It has been a while

It has been a while, but I think this came down to us having removed the original search button and replaced with another. We had to add back the original and hide it using css.

Guys, this is usually due to http:// or https:// being hardcoded into some links etc. This causes the cart to switch sessions and lose context and can lead to carts being lost... (mainly in menus or topics etc)

Contact me (Jan) at jsimacek@compunix.us for help!
