    Default ML 8.0.1.4 and SQL Server 2008 R2 - compatible?

    We are running 8.0.1.4 on SQL Server 2008. Soon we will be upgrading to SQL Server 2008 R2. Are there any compatibility issues with R2? I could find no SQL requirements in the documentation.

    Question Same Question

    I have the same question. Although, documentation says nothing about SQL 2008 either? Have you successfully installed in a 2008 SQL environment?

    Thanks,
    John

    SQL 2008 is fine. Here are the strings returned for this: select @@version

    In our development environment:
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (RTM) - 10.0.1600.22 (X64)
    Jul 9 2008 14:17:44
    Copyright (c) 1988-2008 Microsoft Corporation
    Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.0 <X64> (Build 6002: Service Pack 2)

    Our dev environment has an 8.0.1.2, a 9.2.0 and a 9.3.1 database on it.

    For our production environment:
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP1) - 10.50.2500.0 (X64) Jun 17 2011 00:54:03 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation Web Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)

    But there is no excuse for not thoroughly testing it yourselves!

    Using MS 9.2.0.0 with the following customisations:

    Lightbox/Fancybox enlarged images;
    Auto-suggest searchbox;
    Extra product information shown only to our IP Address (such as supplier info, costs, etc.);
    Failed transactions emailed via trigger;
    Custom app to show basket contents when customer online;
    Orders pushed through to accounting systems.

    All the above without source!

    I have not experienced any issues running 8.0.1.4 with SQL Server 2008 R2.

    Like esedirect stated, it is always a good idea to test first, to be absolutely certain.
