Default v9.2MS and page.menu.xml.config changes not working?

Having a problem here I can't seem to solve. I have modified the page.menu.xml.config to remove the sections menu from the top nav however it's not actually removing it?? I tried clearing browser cache, etc.. but the section (departments) still remains on the site. What am I missing here?

Is your template using vertMenuData.xml in the template directory?

No, it's MS v9.2 so it's using the page.menu.xml.config file from the XMLPackages folder. My changes did eventually take effect so I have a cache issue somewhere. I just can't figure out where yet. I can clear the cache in the admin panel and clear everything from the browser and the changes are still delayed.

You can still use the .xml files that I was talking about depending on the template you are using.

As for cache, I would check out your firewall cache or the IIS cache.
