Default What online chat software do you use? Does the co-browse feature work?

    A quick community poll:
    (a) What online chat software do you currently use?
    (b) Does your online chat co-browse feature work?

We have an issue with our SightMax online chat co-browse feature on ASPDNSF version 8.0.1.2. and would be interested to hear the communities experience with their chat software.

    Hi

We've evaluated and used the following chat/support products that include desktop sharing...

    Boldchat
    Kayako Engage
    LivePerson

Boldchat appears to need no additional software to run the sharing but it is currently limited to browser sharing only.

Kayako Engage requests the user to download a small executable in order to desktop share.

LivePerson requires Java on both the support and customer's PCs which can be a offputting.

My personal preference is currently Kayako Engage; it's fairly low cost, easy to set up and install and works well.

The only slight issue is that many of the above require specific ports and protocols to be enabled over the network which can be a problem with Corporate firewalls.

I've also just recently installed Liveperson as part of an ecommerce rollout for a large UK food retailer and it works well.

We use WhosOn. Allows desktop sharing, prompting to take over a users session if they are lost on the site and also contains full analytical data and offline messaging.
