    Question Custom product.SimpleProduct.xml.config per skin?

I am attempting to make a new product.SimpleProduct.xml.config which I put inside my App_Templates\{skin_id}\XmlPackages folder, but it doesn't seem to take priority over the one located in the XmlPackages folder in the root directory. Is this a caching issue or is that not possible?

I am guessing I can force it to work by changing the xml.config for an individual product(s), but I was hoping to develop a new skin separate from old skin.

    Thanks!

    Default Custom xml.config per skin

That should work. Are you viewing the correct skin?

If you wish to preview a skin without changing the default skin id, you can do so using a querystring parameter appended to your site's URL. If (for example) your site is located at http://www.yourcompany.com and you wanted to preview skin 7, you could go to http://www.yourcompany.com/default.aspx?skinid=7
