Default Web App vs Web Site

The current web project of ASPDNSF is type web site. Is there a version available that is set up as a web application project? There are so many advantages to a web app, that it would be adviseable to have the project in that format.

I'm afraid not at the moment, but that's something the devs have brought up around here several times. I imagine we'll be switching to an app before too terribly long.
