    Cool Personalize Products

We're moving to ASPDNSF from the Ecommerce package that comes with our Everest ERP software. We need to be able to offer personalization on items like we do on our current site, allbibles.com, and was told before we bought that it could be done. What would be the best way to setup following:

    1. Offer personalization for only select products
    2. Offer at least three choices: No personalization, Script or BLOCK lettering
    3. Offer one, two or three lines of customer entered text depending on the product (up to 25 characters each)
    4. Charge a set fee for each line of customer-entered text

Then when customer makes choices and adds item to cart, the personalization options are also added to cart and then stored when the sales order is completed so it can be imported into our ERP software.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

You would need to use kit products for something like that.

We have around 4,000 items that need this option. Can kit items with the same type attributes be setup fairly easily with a sql query, or must they be edited individually?

    Thanks.

to see an example of the kind of kit product you are talking about, see https://www.sagefaslabels.com and select any of the products.

    Default Personalization

    Don,

Nice site! My concern is having to setup a kit for 4,000 items.

BTW, what customization/addon was done so the customer can view the product? That is really well done.

Do you import your item kits into Sage?
