Smile How to set up shipping rate for the first item and a reduced rate for more items

    Hello-
I am wanting to set up the site so we can set a shipping rate for the first item and reduced rates for additional items bought at the same time. We are a sign shop going to sell banners, the first banner would ship for $12, additional banners for $1.25 each, etc.
Can someone help me on this?
    Thanks

You can kind of 'fake' a quantity-based shipping rate by playing with the weight calculation method. Details here.

We use the shipping table, with a base rate plus a percentage of the order. The percentage decreases as the orders get larger. This has worked quite well of us, we just had to increase the base as shipping costs increased.
