    Default Site Ranking issues.

    I switched from Storefront Softwart to aspdotnet almost 2 years ago. My old site: www.swidendist.com (storefront) is still active. My NEW Site is www.swidenonline.com...(aspdotnetstorefront) The old site is ranked better than my new site.... Any idea's???

    Well if you just want to use the New store, then just redirect all the traffic that is coming to the Old one to the New one.

    This way anyone who tries to go to the old store's url would just be redirected to the new one.

    Possible explanations:

    More external sites link to the old domain (over 2,400) than the new domain (less than 100)
    The old site has better on-site SEO, for example better use of H1, H2's, meta descriptions etc.
    The old domain is older

    We did the redirect and it dropped to nothing, As for the SEO and H1 and H2 I don't quite understand that. I actually thought it woudl be better.. We have better descriptions of our productst...

    You're also using an almost standard skin template for the new store and it could do with some more SEO optimization. A simple example is that every page is giving away some of your page rank with this link: Powered by <a href="http://www.aspdotnetstorefront.com" target="_blank">shopping cart</a>

    At the very least, make this a rel="nofollow"

    These are not the key issues though, I think it's the larger number of inbound links to your old domain that's the reason.
