Thread: Urgent! Need to prevent anonomous checkout.

I want to reset my APPCONFIGS to not allow anonymous checkout but none of the parameters listed in the manual (passwordisoptionalduringcheckout, anoncheckoutreqemail and allowcustomerduplicateemailaddresses) are listed in my APPCONFIGS!

AllowCustomerDuplicateEmailAddresses is a GlobalConfig in 9x, so you're not going to find that in the AppConfigs. Configuration->Store Maintenance.

As for the rest, those configs are there 'out of the box'. If you're not seeing them then they were either deleted in the past, or you're not logged in with a super admin account (regular admins cannot change those settings). Try adding an AppConfig with one of those names. If it works, then you deleted them at some point and you can re-add them and set them as you want. If not, you'll need to figure out the SA login for your store and use that.

AllowCustomerDuplicateEMailAddresses is not there. I created it. Does there have to be a specific group name and ID number for it to work?
