    Default XML Header

Ok .. Ive been banging my head for about a week now, so here I am, humbled (and bleeding) <smile> ...

If my understanding is correct: At the top of every XML file there are two lines of data that are needed.

    (A) Im trying to find out WHAT those are suppose to be for MY SITE, and what they all mean?

    (B) Can anyone PLEASE provide me with a website or an explanation of WHAT I should be using?
I am trying to dump all my CATEGORY Lists from an Excel Spreadsheet into an XML File.

    (C) (My Next thing will be be the Departments- but It looks like you have to enter those manually?)

    Thank You for your advisement.

Please note: My previous research has included Youtube, and even a subscription to Lynda.com!

    Hi

The first two lines are just standard required XML lines that show its an XML file and the site.

Have you tried converting this with an XML Schema. If not then there is a little website that maybe able to give you a headstart. Simply cut and paste the excel data and convert.

It may need some work though
