Default Forum Search Logic - Trying To Decode Searching Topics

Ok, I'm new to ASPDNS and rely a lot on the forum to get me by. But for the life of me can't figure out how the search function works.

If you type in "email setup", it returns every page that contains either or both words. And if you type "email + setup", same result.

So I set out to see how the logic behind this thing works, and it's only proven to be more of a puzzle. I started by scanning some topics and settled on one whose title was something like "SE Questions". So I typed "SE" into the search box. Results came back empty, no such topics. Hmmmm

This really seems silly, but I spend more time scanning page after page of topics returned by the search than anything else. I'm obviously missing the trick to it all and no doubt my dyslexia doesn't help matters, but geez.

Same, for the past year it never returned the correct posts. So I just use Google, for example to search for "locked account"

    ----------------------------------------

    site:forums.aspdotnetstorefront.com locked account

    ----------------------------------------

That searches only the aspdotnetstorefront forums for the words "locked account" and for the most part works great. To change it, keep the first section but change the words "locked account" to whatever you want.

Atleast for now until someone can shed light, it's a solid work around.

I never use the forums search - I created a custom search engine instead :-
