    Default Temporarily disabling the site

We are currently running on multi-store version 9.0.1.3 and are aware of the setting the sitedown page to have a .htm file extension instead of .html, according to this post here in the manual.

However, on the production environment (Rackspace cloud) we are getting the following error message "This webpage has a redirect loop", when we update the 2 values in our web.config file. Isn't this bug fix already? Is anyone else having any problems with this?

Found a great solution to work around this bug, posted by Scott Guthrie.
