    Default TaxCalcMode = billing Issue

    I understand there is a known bug in ML8 when using TaxCalcMode = billing.
    Is there a fix for this issue? If yes, how can I get the update?

    Default TaxCalcMode = billing still bugged

    This issue exists in ML8 (all editions including 8.0.1.4).

    The bug is this: When TaxCalcMode = billing , anonymous customers (new users) adding items to cart and then Register & Checkout (or Skip Login & Checkout) will have tax calculated on a blank billing address, causing zero tax.

    There is no patch or release for this issue at this time.

    TaxCalcMode = shipping works correctly, which is actually the more common method to use. Consult your state tax authority where your business has nexus to determine correct method.
