As many of you will have heard, USPS will soon be 'retiring' their older rate services in favor of their new "RateV4" service. For those of you who haven't heard this, USPS sent out several email blasts lately:

Web Tools customers;
Effective August 24, 2011, the "Rate" and "RateV2" versions of the Web Tools
Domestic Rate Calculator APIs will be retired. Integrators are encouraged to
migrate to "RateV4" as soon as possible. You can find the "RateV4" technical
guide at www.usps.com/webtools/technical.htm

For questions or concerns, please contact the USPS Internet Customer Care
Center at 1-800-344-7779 or icustomercare@usps.com

Thank you,
USPS Web Tools Program Office
Since AspDotNetStorefront's existing realtime rates integration uses USPS' "RateV2" service, that means some work for us! We have already begun the process of updating our integration to work with USPS' newer service, and while we aren't ready to announce a release date just yet, we will have an update out that addresses that change well in advance of the August 24th deadline.

Customers using USPS realtime rates on their sites will need to upgrade to be able to keep using that service, as we will not be releasing patches for older versions. We will have new releases available for ML8, ML, and MultiStore.
