Thread: Login box when trying to edit a product can edit MFG and Category Any Ideas

ver 9 sp1
We can edit a MFG or Category ok
but whe we edit a product we get a login box pop up
to or web site www.???? tried user name and password nadda tried admin and
so on

Unfortunately, the only work around is to disable some features as mentioned in the link above by whichever method you prefer.

I was told support won't look at the issue until this issue affects a larger number of us so if any of you are holding out on reporting it, would be nice to know how many really have the problem.

I've found the issue only occurs when editting products from any computer other than the server, but doesn't happen when editting products locally on the actual web server (W2K3), which would suggest there's something in the code triggering a security issue. Still looking into the problem myself.

If anyone else is having this problem with being prompted to login while editting a product, please update here and report to support.

i ran into this to (5/20/11). i'm using Multistore 9.1.0.1/9.1.0.0.

in mozilla the error occurs during the product edit popup and the browser shows it's trying to load something from https://google-analytics.com

in chrome and ie it prompts for an unanswerable user/pass login

editing out the jscript line as per above worked.

search and filtering , as per above, also seems really flaky (for example, if i go to product categories, select a category, select products, and then click "products for category" it just gives me all products, and not the ones pertaining to that category).

I've got a similar problem. Commenting out the line doesn't fix the problem for Mac.
