    Default paypal email incorrect error message

    We recently added Paypal to our site and when I am testing it I get this error message on paypal:

    We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the "Ask Seller a Question" link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at www.paypal.com.

    has anyone else come across this problem and how do I fix it?

    Since this is a PayPal error, have you asked them yet?

    What version are you on exactly?

    We just started getting the same error after months of no issues. Has something changed with PayPal? We're on ML 7.1. Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas? Thanks!

    Which Paypal payment method is this, express or standard? If standard, please try it on express instead.

    Can you post the value of appconfig: PayPal.Express.ButtonImageURL or url address of the web page that has the payment button, that will help us troubleshoot the issue. Also, make sure you leave this appconfig: PayPal.MerchantEmail empty.

    We are using PayPaL Express.

    PayPal.Express.ButtonImageURL = https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/b...ssCheckout.gif

    URL is https://www.modernkaribou.ca/checkoutpayment.aspx

    PayPal.MerchantEmail is empty.

    Let us know... thanks!

    Couple things you can try:

    #1 Make sure you are logged into your Paypal developer account when making sandbox tests/ purchases
    #2 Make sure you are logged in using the same browser in which you're conducting your sandbox tests.
    #3 Make sure that you're conducting the purchase using the "buyer" email address you setup in your Paypal account.

    If non of these works, send this to support? Please include your admin url and login credentials in the ticket. thanks
