    Default Shopping Cart product notes

    I have enabled a text box (product notes) that shows up on our shopping cart page under each product ordered. I want to do two things to this.

    1. I want to insert a default value in that box.
    2. I want those text boxes to be required fields. If there is nothing entered then when they click to "checkout" it will require them to enter something in these text boxes for each product.

    Ideas?
