    Default The best way for doing customization?

    Hi,

    i'm new on development with ASPDNSF.
    I am searching for the best way of doing customization on ASPDNSF.

    For example, I wanted to add a count of articles in the entity tree (including subcategories). I have written a SP, and done some modification on ASPDNSFControls/EntityControl.cs and ASDNSFCore/ProductMappingLinkItem.cs.

    It functions well, but the upgrades or service packs could overwrite my changes.
    Please, suggest the best way of accomplishing modifications without touching the original source code. Should I use add-ins for this? Is this possible?


    We are using SVN for source control, is merging a good idea?
