Default PayPal orders not saved after payment

    Hi guys,

For some reason over the past few months, we've been having problems with customers placing orders through PayPal.

They successfully checkout, but their order isn't saved in the shopping cart. The only way that we know that an order came in is because of a PayPal payment email. We have to then email the customer to ask them what they ordered, and then send it out. This is a PITA for the customer and ourselves, and I want to get to the bottom of it.

    We are using ML v8.0.0.0.

One customer was nice enough to send us feedback on what happened upon returning to the store. He basically received a message:

"Error: Invalid Customer ID or Invalid Order Number"

    on the Order Completed page.

Any thoughts on what would cause this when returning from PayPal? We haven't changed the PayPal payment options for some time (we've been in business for 6 years now, 5 of it was using AspDnSf.

    I appreciate everyone's feedback.

    Jason

Google did a better search for the answer than this forum did.

I have made the change to PayPal.ReturnOKURL app config, and we'll see if that fixes the problem.

We had the same problem. It happened off-and-on over the last few years but got real bad in the last couple weeks.
    To make sure your store receives the PayPal info needed to complete the order within the store you need to;

    Login to PayPal
    Profile
    More Options
    Instant Payment Notification Preferences
    http://www.yourwebsite.com/paypalnotification.aspx
    Message delivery = Enabled

We have not had a problem since.
