    Question Clean Up Search Page

We are looking to clean up our search page. At the moment our search returns all products and variants. We want to display the product only once but have an expand option to see all the variants.

    e.g.
    + Dimplex PLX
    + Controller

    -Dimplex PLX
    PLX500 buy
    PLX1500 buy
    +Controller

How would we go about this? I have been looking into the XML package and I can sort of see how to do it from the XML package (look for the first instance of a product id and group them together, however even this I am still unsure on)

I was wondering if there were any alternatives out there that have been done or any work around?

    Many thanks in advance.
