    Default Free Shipping Exclude AK, HI?

    In V9, is there anyway to accomplish this out of the box? Im assuming no.

    If no, any tips on a quick fix to make this happen?

    Im using UPS realtime, I simply want to allow free shipping if you spend $x but not to Alaska or Hawaii.

    Seems this would be pretty common.

    We use 8.0 so I'm assuming that this would be the same for 9.0 We accomplished this out of the box by simply setting up a "New Shipping Method" for UPS in "shipping settings" for free shipping. Uncheck the states that you do not want to apply for free shipping. In addition to AK and HI we also included PR, GU, VI, etc.

    Finally, in appconfig "ShippingMethodIDIfFreeShippingIsOn" enter the ID for the new shipping method you set up.

    We use Vortx Smart Checkout utlizing multi-store. This does not work for us. Do you think this is the reason why?

    We are also dealing with issues relating to the free shipping for AK/HI/ Virgin Islands.
    We use real time rates, so we cannot use the allow/disallow options. Anyone have a solution? We also use the Smart 1 page checkout. Thanks!
    Currently running 9.3 Multistore on 5 sites.

    Default Next 9.x update?

    Has this been addressed yet? This has been a huge problem for us! We are running 9.3 multi store and use RTrates. We set our threshold to be $100 and use Vortex One Page Smart checkout. When we select a shipping method that is not RT it will not allow it and will not show up on check out. It would be great if this was fixed in the next update. Has anyone figured out a work around for people using RTrates? AK and HI shipping costs us dearly.
