Default Site is super slow. Need help speeding up site

Our site is really slow, navigation wise. Takes a good 5-7 seconds to go from one page to another. We are running AspDotNetStorefront ML 7.1 and hosting it ourselves. I see some basic text about improving site performance, caching, removing unused files. Any tips from you all would be great. Thanks

I would consider upgrading your Current storefront version, I believe you would see some improvement if you went to ML 9.

Also, it could be related to your hosting environment, you should look at the amount of memory being used on your server.

We host many ASPDotNetStoreFrotn websites on a dedicated server and do no have any problems with Performance.

    I agree!

Also, things to consider, are the server your running on (like what jcohn1131 mentioned), how many other sites are running on the same server, is the sql server on the same server, how much traffic are you seeing. Have you run the monthly maintenance at all or regularly? There are more I am sure but just a few things to take a look at first.

There are some performance tuning tips for large sites also that I would recommend checking out.
