Default Too many records in customer table

    Hi,

I see too many records in the customer table, with a blank email and password for one our site. My guess is that if the user is not logged in and browse the website, storefront creates a unique record in the customer table with blank email and password. Our site gets so many users and the table keeps growing huge.

Is that a good idea to delete the customer records with empty email address every night. If any one out there tried this, please let me know if thats a good idea... we dont allow anonymous customer to order in out site.

Do you run monthly maintenance? There is an option to purge anonymous customers.

Unfortunately we don;t do the monthly maintenance since we have a large number of sites to maintain. We are planning to write a process which cleans up this data every night.

manually run the monthly maintenance proc in Mangement Studio and you can clean out the data, usually if you have a lot of information it may timeout on the admin.
