    Default v9 Multiple Master Pages?

    Can you use multiple Master page templates in version 9? We're upgrading a website from v8 to v9. The v8 version used multiple template.ascx files for different types of pages (HomePage, Shopping, Checkout, Topics etc). Most of the differences between the templates involve the showing of customized left and right banners/menus relevant to the section.

    I tried creating a new master page and then changing the aspx page to use it as the master but it still tries to use the template.master file. What's the best way to convert the old templates and allow different areas to have unique styling?
