    Default different option for a product based on user levels

    I am trying to set up product with the option for installation only for certain customers can you think of a way to do this? I tried it as a kit or variant but I dont see a way to limit it to only certain customers.

    There's no way 'out of the box' to do that. You would have to use two versions of the product and use customer level filtering.

    This would not work out since I have products where I want the default customers to be able to see them at a default price and then leveled user to be able login and get a discount. If I would turn on the filtering the regular customers would not be able to see all the products that have special pricing as well.
    Any other work arounds?
