Default Graphic designers and .NET Master pages

I have a client on Version 9 of ASPDNSF, who really wants to work with a specific designer who only works on the Mac with Adobe products. Are there any resources or guidelines and we can use to reliably guide this designer's approach, that will allow us to turn his work into a .net Master page?

Well, I had a longer post with more details that I then realized probably isn't needed.

I would suggest finding out if the designer in question has ever created a theme for a blogging platform or CMS such as Wordpress. Chances are a designer on the Mac platform has done this or is hopefully aware of the process.

If that's the case then you can suggest he approach the project as one would when designing a Wordpress theme as it is similar in nature. You may have to explain what elements are going to be .Net controls or XML Packages so that he can design static bits accordingly. Then you can rebuild those sections as needed once the design is completed.

I'm primarily a designer with development skills and so far I'm finding designing the website for our company with a master page in mind isn't difficult. My main issues are dealing with trying to style the sections of the website generated by XML Packages. I often find myself editing the packages or creating new ones to suit my needs for the design. Explaining that bit may be the hardest part for you to work out.

Thank you travisalmand, that reply was right on target. I've opened a conversation with the designer in question using your post. I appreciate it. A good metaphor is always useful.
