Thread: Adding More options - Variant

Hi,

in product information, when we edit product details under variat, we can enter product size, color and SKU modifiers for those two.

can we have more custom fields and SKU modifiers for those. and how can we do it.

If you wanted to add additional attributes in addition to size/color, it would take some customization to handle that. You may be able to use kit products to do that though.

Yes, but you'll need to make modifications to support it. Variants out-of-box support sizes and colors with sku modifiers (or whatever you decide to use them for...you can change the names of the attriutes) but to add more than those 2 you'll need to make changes to at least the shopping cart, checkout process, database structure, and admin section.
