    Default Partial Authorizations

    Hi,

Authorize.Net is adding support for partial authorizations for debit, prepaid and gift cards for these card types, for U.S. transactions only:
    • MasterCard
    • Discover
    • Diners Club
    • JCB
    • American Express
    • Visa
If the balance on the debit card or prepaid card is less than the order amount, it can accept multiple forms of payment for the order; using some, or all, of the available balance on the debit or prepaid card, in addition to one or more different payment methods.

I need to know if this require some changes on ASPDNSF.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Doru Pirvu

In order to support this, yes it will. In fact, it requires rearchitecting the order process and the shopping cart, as well as their respective database tables, and a rewrite of the Authorize.Net gateway (or whichever gateway you are using). We're reviewing what it will take to make these changes, but they will likely not be implemented until nearer the Authorize.Net deadline in 2011.
