    Default Issue with web.config - server specific info

    I am currently moving my site from a shared server to a dedicated server.

    I am in the middle of copying and setting up the site on the new server. Currently I'm having problems getting this to run because the existing site's web.config is encrypted with server specific info and I must export this to your server.

    How do I export this to the new server?

    Just open the Site Configuration Wizard on the admin site on the old server and uncheck the "encrypt web.config" box. That will decrypt it to plain text. You can then move it to the new server and re-encrypt it.
