    Default MasterCard/Discover Partial Authorization

MasterCard and Discover are modifying their rules concerning the processing of debit, prepaid and gift cards.

Do you guys plan on upgrading the asp.net store to support their new requirements?

We are looking into this, however the first we heard of it was just a short while ago, and it doesn't look like it's getting much notice anywhere else either. I was only able to find 2 of our supported gateways that have made any kind of announcement of their plans to adapt to these rules, and several other e-commerce providers have stated that they're not planning to make any changes for this, as they feel the mandates only apply to point of sale systems.

I don't agree personally, as the new rules say pretty clearly they're for all merchants 'submitting e-commerce and other card-not-present transactions', but the changes have to be supported by the gateways before we can adapt to them, and they don't look to be picking this up.

We'll definitely keep investigating and will see what we can do!
