Default Setting passwords myself, will this be stable or does the store update pwds?

I have doing some custom single-signon integration with aspdnsf.

In the process, I am setting the password during the registration process.

Will this be stable or does aspdnsf update the passwords by itself? (other than the obvious 'edit user' page that lets the user update his password.

For standard customer accounts we don't expire the passwords, and the only times they would be changed would be if the customer did it through the front end (either intentionally changed it or by using the 'Forgot Password' tool) or if the admin forcefully reset the password on the backend.
