    Default Change Add to Cart button to Call to Order

    Is there any way to automatically change the Add to Cart button to Call to Order whenever the product runs out of stock? Or to get rid of Add to Cart completely when product is out of stock?

    Also is it possible to have two different add to cart buttons? Say a smaller one for your grid page and a larger one for your product detail page?

    Yes, please take a look at this page which talks about the Inventory Management within our 8.x and above releases. Also, as far as having buy buttons on both entity level and product pages, you can customize the entity level XML package to display buy buttons and then it will display in both places.
