    Default Root folder write permissions

    Good Morning,
We had our hosting company install the software for us and they gave us ftp access to the root folder for the site. When we try to write to the root folder to the images folder for example we are getting an error that says "An error occurred opening the folder on the FTP Server. Make sure you have permission to access this folder. Details: 550 /hartigstore/images: The system cannot find the file specified."

They don't know what is causing this as they say they gave write permission to the folder. They think it may have something to do with permissions in the AspDotNetStorefront Software.

My question is; is there anything in the software that would cause this or restrict write access to the root folder?

    Any other suggestions?

    Thank You

There's nothing in the store that would reset these. They just need to make sure that the images folder and the subfolders have write access (if only images has write access and the permissions are not inherited by the sub-directories you'll get this error).
