    Exclamation Channel Advisor Integration

I have been told the CA integration is not difficult and can be accomplished. All we need to do is keep the ASPSF backend for product management but push all the sales and products up to CA.

For the products a simple feed into an csv would be very easy and quick way to have that done. With the sales I have been looking at their API, by the looks of it this code could be included on the order conformation page to send data to CA.

Is this correct? Also has anyone else done this or had any experience with CA or their API.

    All comments welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes, BFG is correct, you do not need to do a custom integration with CA as we have an exclusive relationship with them to provide our solution integrated with Channel Advisor's services!

We called them and told us we would need to pay for the integration. We were then referred to one of their partners (egghead) for a quote.

    Whats going on with that?

Did they understand that you're using aspdotnetstorefront?
Maybe they were just answering a generic question "can I integrate my existing storefront with CA"?

Also - it's possible that extra work is needed, as you're already up & running.
Their system works by CA being the 'master' & pushing, product/category/mapping information etc out into ADNSF - then receiving orders back into CA.
As you already have all your products & categories & mapping etc already present - it would need to all be imported into the CA system & then pushed back out....

We wanted to keep ASP as the master for our products.

Is it worth having CA as the master? What are the advantages.
Also we take our payments as deferred, we do not store CC info at all. So we would need to still capture the funds in ASP.

    Default ChannelAdvisor Should Be Master

I have setup several of our customers on ChannelAdvisor and in almost all cases, it makes sense to have ChannelAdvisor as the product master. You can then take advantage of their other Marketplace features.

You will need to setup an account with a premium store that connects to your store. ChannelAdvisor can host your site as well unless you have customizations. It sounds like your store is already up and running and will probably just want to install the ChannelAdvisor connector into your store's codebase.

We do have a few customers that we have written custom integration code for additional features using the ChannelAdvisor Webservice API.

Lastly, you can still have the store Authorize and Capture orders and orders are simply posted to CA.
