    Default Manufacturer

What is the most simple route to changing the Manufacturer to lets say Designer or Developer? across the entire site. The Admin interface is no big deal.

Just go to the string resource page, search for 'manufacturer', and change all the values that are returned. Once you're done, restart the site (or you'll have to wait for the cache to renew) and you should be good.
