    Default google feed automatic update

    Hi,

How does google feed automatically update. Is this feature present on Storefront? If not do you know how can I do this one? Like the feeds will automatically update within 14 days.

    Thanks..

Google feed will do the update periodically based on the frequency, timing, and location of your feed.

question it says here for the url of file: (eg. http://www.example.com/upload.txt).
As I can remember the path of the feed is under images if I have my domain it will look like eg. http://www.example.com/images/products.txt. However the file name will increment accordingly to the upload. I have a text file name products1_4996.txt. Will I this url of file: eg. http://www.example.com/images/products.txt, even the file increments? does google get this file?

    You should see this manual.

You will still need to go in and click the "Execute" button when your products change. The feed file does not update automatically. Also, if the feed is too large, it may time out if you use Auto-FTP. Therefore, you would need to do the "manual upload" method described in the manual link above.

We have a simple utility that will execute it automatically for you, based on scheduler settings. On dedicated servers it uses windows scheduler, and depending on your shared host... it may be available to you as well. I know applied I has a "Web Scheduler" feature that works very well. Some shared hosts may even set up the windows scheduler for you.
