    Hi Brian,

I can appreciate where your coming from. We don't yet have a list, but I will definitely bring this up and see if we can get a list of changes between 8x and 9x versions.

I know off hand that there are some core changes, to fix some issues we were having in the 8x version. And we are moving to master pages. Other then that I will have to work at getting a list.

Here is what I read for the updates.

Master Pages (finally yes, but our skinning engine did everything MP did 7 years prior)
    ERPS integration rules/modules (tax/shipping/gateway/pricing/etc)
Layouts (very cool. see my IMOJ photography thread)
    tons of interface updates
cleaned out a lot of junk/old code (stuff I wrote 7 years ago)
performance tweaks to get even more out of a page load response time
    WSI enhancements
AJAX'ified kit pages (front end and back end)
Typed AppConfigs (boolean, enumerated list, etc)
    AJAX minicart
Friendly error message handling, with a log in the admin site
    New gateways (NetGiro, PayLeap)
Totally rewritten treeview components in the admin site (better navigation and speed)
    Easy URL rewrites

    That sounds about right.

Don't forget addins though! You'll be able to add custom logic (shipping, taxes, etc) without touching the core code, through a .NET contract system.

I'd be quite interested to know when r9 will be released...

Like in a few days, weeks, months?
