    Default Rack Space PCI

with the introduction of RackSpace cloud Servers for windows, would it require code changes to use their cloud site for browsing and adding to cart and login then redirect the customer to a dedicated cloud server to do checkout. can this work and still keep PCI compliant

PCI compliance on the Rackspace cloud currently requires using a 'boomerang' gateway where all CC information is entered/stored off-site. Rackspace has some docs on this at http://help.rackspacecloud.com/attachment.php?id=62

Anything that keeps the customer on your site to pay would not be allowed. If your site 'touches' the CC info at all (even if you're not storing it), you have to be in a PCI compliant hosting environment - which the cloud is not.
