    Default service contracts

i'm in the lawn business, and we provide a lot of service contracts
with prices all over the place and some stardard prices
    currently running ml 8
    my questions are
    1. is there a way for a single customer to look-up his specific contract?
would you use downloadable or subscriptions? or something else
    2. would then set the service contact up as a product?
    3. would you use variants for different pricing of service contracts?
    4. password protect so only said customer can see his/her price

The easiest way to do this is to use recurring subscription products and create a topic that are restricted to customers who have purchased them. Here's the detailed directions in the manual to do this.

    still need help
ok did as manual said to do
    1. added product "maint contracts"
then i added 3 variants "platinum, gold, silver"
    2. set to recurring
    3. interval to "yearly"
    4. add topic "contracts"
    5. set to requires subscription to "yes"
    6. set the customer subscription "expires on" to end of the year 2010
customer logs-in & goes to maint contracts and it shows him only the PLATINUM COST

how do i control this? so i can show this customer "gold cost only"
and say the next customer "sivler cost only"

What do you mean "customer logs-in & goes to maint contracts"? Are they viewing the product page, or the list of recurring orders on their account page, the topic, etc? If you can be a bit more specific in what you're after and where you're looking we'll be able to help more.
