    Default Admin login question

    I have a very peculiar problem on our live server. After setting up all the configurations in the Admin section like live server, uselivetransaction and useSSL,
    http access to www.xyz.com/admin simply does not work but https://www.xyz.com/admin works . The site does not automatically converts a http request to https for admin. This works fine in dev and staging environment.
    Am I missing any settings here?

    Any help is greately appreciated.

    In IIS, you may have it configured in such a way that the admin site cannot be accessed except via https. Check with your hosting provider/server administrator
