    Default Affiliate Tables - Activity/Commissions

    I can't seem to find information on the tables Affiliate Activity and Affiliate Commissions. It seems that all documentation in the manual and forum posts say that the affiliate functionality built in doesn't handle commissions or detailed tracking but these tables look like the place to store transaction related information from orders etc.

    Is there any default / built-in functionality to populate these tables?
    If not, why are these present?
    Have others built processes to load in transactions to these?

    The purpose of affiliate is to link customers to it so you can track which customers come in through any particular affiliate, you can then generate a summary list of that via Orders -> View/Manager Orders in the admin. That is really the only purpose for it.

    The AffiliateActivity and AffiliateCommissions tables were just created there as a starting point for developers wanted to enhanced that functionality.
