    This is certainly possible, however, this is not built in, ASPDNSF doesn't have a wait list for out of stock items; but, if you do not want a modification, the alternative would be to set the item to a Call to Order so that the customer could phone you and you will be able to inform him via phone line of when it'll be shipped.
