    Default Advanced search

Cannot use a CONTAINS or FREETEXT predicate on table or indexed view 'dbo.product' because it is not full-text indexed.

In Advancedsearch.aspx any search produces this error. It doesn't happen in theproduction site, just the test site, but I would like to know what is going on.

Also, I seem to have trouble finding the "Department" pull down to remove it from the page.

Could you tell us what version you're using? ML8012 already has a full-text catalog. See the {Database}>Storage>Full Text Catalogs using the SQL Server Management Studio...

I may have looked at full text search, but maybe I half installed it? I'm using ver ML8012.

Full-text search is an optional component of the SQL Server Database Engine, make sure you've included it when you installed your sql server. If you're using SQL 2005 express, you may refer to this installation instruction.
