    Question Core Code Required

We currently have the source code and it occurred to me that we only need the web folder with the DLL's on the site for it to work?

Is this correct? I am worried about core files been changed and been replaced with older core files. Can we have only the web folder on the live site and keep all the core files locally?

Thanks for any advice on this.

You only need the /web folders, correct. We highly recommend that you not have the source code on the server as well. There's no need for it, and it just presents an additional level of risk should someone ever get unauthorized FTP access to your files.
