Default How do add custom product attributes

I can't find this anywhere in the documentation. How do I create custom product attributes? For example each of our products has several attributes:

    Amps
    Voltage
    Shape
    Connection

How would I add these into the database so that we can import the values when we import items?

Adding more than just the standard 2 attributes that products allow is either going to take some custom code, or the use of a kit. There's more to adding those than just getting that info in the DB (for which you could use the ExtensionData fields), you'll have to customize the software to actually pull that data and use it.

Scott, do we have plans on adding additional attributes other then the 2 we have now? Perhaps a few more for us to customize? I think as the market gets more complicated,we should consider this for future releases.

    Default Need more attributes

Absolutely a good idea. Also, again, I need gift wrapping built in. If you need a thorough description of gift wrapping I will be glad to write it up.

Their are developers who have this feature available:
http://www.visioninstyle.com/c-93-sunglasses.aspx attributes, compare, filtering, list view & grid view.

Attributes can also be listed on product detail: http://www.visioninstyle.com/p-1842-...unglasses.aspx

Realize, only 5% of the websites using storefront would need this functionality so stock would be overkill. However, you can contact storefront devs who can add this type of functionality for you.
