Default Missing Edit Pane in Explorer

WHen creating products, under the description tab, when running IE, there is no editing availability. No problems with Chrome or Foxfire. Is this due to some IE setting that I need to change?

I ran into this myself. Just click the compatibility icon that looks like a broken page that is located to the right of the address. This will render the page as IE7 and it should work fine.

I was about to make the reply and yes that is correct you have to set your IE 8 to compatibility view. Icon should be near the address bar and this is all set.
