Thread: Sub domain

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a general store site (www.store.com) with several sub sites that exist with just a more specific product listing (www.store.com/children, www.store.com/teens, www.store.com/adults).
The general store already has theses categories listed on the left-hand menu, but we send out emails to our customers and want to make the sub site with a more specific product offering without them overwhelmed with all of our other products, and the emails would have a link back to one of the specific sites. Additionally all specific sites will have a link that can take the customer to our general store as well.
