    Default Reset password

Yesterday when I logged in to our storefront, I was prompted to change the password, which I did and duly noted it in a text file. I logged in after that and was successful.

Today, however, not only was the pw rejected, when I requested a new password by email, I received the error that it could not be sent.
Since I have already received email from the storefront I am perplexed.

I am wondering what has happened to the data in both of these fields.

From the manual, I understand that I'll need to use SQL Server Management Studio to reset the pw.
In step 4 what is meant by "touching" the web.config file.

"Touching" the web.config refers to opening it, saving it, and closing it again in order to update the timestamp of the last modified date. You may also go into IIS and restart the site which forces this to be done as well.
