Default Question regarding shopping cart linking properly

Does anyone know what is going on here? Please go to http://www.cerijewelry.com. When you click on "shopping cart" link, the link switch to https automatically? I didn't link that to https. Basically when people log in, and goes somewhere else, the link goes back to http, therefore, the site logs out the customer and all the items in the shopping cart disappears. This is very frustrating to the customers. Can someone help me on this problem?

    Thank you.

Shoppingcart.aspx page is a secure page which requires a secure connection. If you enable SSL or UseSSL= true in the appconfig, that's the expected behavior. As per the log out problem, please submit a ticket to support. What version you're on, by the way?

Thanks, but the SSLis set to true. Customers login and use their shopping cart with no problem and the site is at HTTPS when in shopping cart. But once the customer goes to another product while in the shopping cart, then add to cart in the product page, the URL just jump back from HTTPS to HTTP. All the items that was saved in the cart is gone back to 0 and the customer is logged off. I'm not sure why this is happening, is there a bug in the system?

    thank you

Sounds like an issue from an older version. Could you tell us what version are you on?

    Hi
I'm experiencing exactly the same problem on a 8.0.0.0 version.
Do you have any information ?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's an issue on that version. Please submit a support incident ticket and one of our technical support engineers should provide you with the patch. Please don't forget to affix this forum post URL and your order number on your ticket postage.
